slow, unhurried yoga

Practice like you have nowhere else to be

Small vinyasa and yin classes, sequenced to build heat without urgency. No mirrors, no performance — just a room of real bodies moving at the pace an actual nervous system can follow.

Three ways in

Drop in for a class, commit to the slow burn of yin, or work one-to-one on a practice built around the body you actually have.

01

Slow Vinyasa

60 min · Tue & Thu, 6:30pm

Breath-led movement, sequenced to build heat without urgency. Modifications offered out loud, every time, for every pose.

02

Yin & Restore

75 min · Sun, 10am

Long holds, low light, props for everyone. The class that quietly undoes the rest of your week.

03

1:1 Practice Design

by arrangement

A practice built around your body and your week — not a video series someone else's body was built for.

Rhea Marlow

Rhea has taught yoga for eleven years, the last six of them trying to teach it more honestly — fewer cues about how a pose should look, more attention to what it actually costs the person doing it.

Understory grew out of a simple house rule: if a class only works for the most flexible person in the room, it isn't finished yet.

What people say after

"I stopped counting how many classes I've skipped because 'I wasn't flexible enough.' Understory doesn't have that problem."

— Priya, student since 2023

"First class where a teacher told me to skip a pose entirely — and I actually believed she meant it."

— Dan, student since 2024

What should I bring?

Just yourself. Mats and props are provided; bring a water bottle if you like one nearby.
